Who we are

The 400 Hour Yearly Challenge is a community wellbeing challenge. This policy explains what information we collect when you use the site, why we collect it, and how we handle it.

What we collect

  • Account details you provide: email, display name, optional avatar.
  • Activity entries you log: type, duration, date, and any notes.
  • If you connect Strava, the activities and basic profile data Strava returns to us.
  • Standard technical data: device, browser, and approximate location from your IP for security and analytics.

How we use it

  • To run your account and show your progress on the leaderboard.
  • To operate the challenge and aggregate community totals.
  • To keep the service secure and prevent abuse.

We do not sell your personal data.

Sharing

Your display name, avatar, and aggregated totals are visible to other participants on the leaderboard. We share data with service providers that host the app, database, and authentication on our behalf, and with Strava if you choose to connect it.

Your choices

  • You can edit or delete activity entries from your dashboard.
  • You can disconnect Strava at any time.
  • You can request account deletion by contacting us; this removes your profile and entries.

Cookies

We use cookies and local storage strictly to keep you signed in and remember preferences. We do not use advertising cookies.
